This summer, our aim is to feed even more families with our free school meal hampers. We’ll be working with our incredible volunteers to make hampers that are packed with nutritious meals. These will be sent out with store cupboard essentials to families at risk of going hungry.

Restaurants and hotels are giving space and time, including Wahaca and Hotel Plaza. Mission Meals is linking us up with small independent restaurants to produce meals to fill the hampers.

At our four hub schools – Gayhurst Primary School, Grasmere Primary School, Randal Cremer Primary School and Archbishop Tenison’s School – we’ll be producing more weekly hampers.

With funding from UBS Bank and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, plus support from School Food Matters and our brilliant volunteers, we’ll continue to deliver.

We plan to send out 25,000+ meals a week to the families who need them most.

Some of our produce comes from donations, including from The Felix Project – thanks to them we are able to transform food that would have ended up in landfill into incredible meals.

Naomi Duncan, our chief executive, said: “Hunger and the need for nutrition doesn’t stop when term time ends, that’s why we want to ensure great quality, nutritious food is getting to children and families at risk of going hungry. We’re grateful to everyone who’s enabling us to continue this work over the summer.”
