The PRoblem

Every child deserves the nourishment that good-quality school food provides. Yet across the UK, hunger and poor-quality options are holding pupils back. Schools that want to change this rarely have the capacity, resources, or support to do it alone.

WHO WE ARE

Five of the UK’s leading food and education organisations – Chefs in Schools, School Food Matters, Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food, the Food Foundation and Bite Back – have joined forces to launch a new school food programme. Together, we have the expertise to bring real food back onto school lunch menus, starting September 2026.

WHAT YOU GET

A whole-school transformation:

Partner schools receive over £45,000 worth of expert support – at no cost.

    • Pupils develop advocacy, cooking, and growing skills alongside real leadership experience

    • Staff access specialist training and resources to embed food education across the curriculum

    • Catering teams receive practical, expert support to elevate food quality in your kitchen

    • School leaders benefit from a structured, values-led programme with a dedicated point of contact

    • Parents and the wider community are engaged through sessions that build shared enthusiasm for school food change
